FOOD LAW CLINIC: Crowdfunding

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Access to capital is a critical issue for farmers.  This clinic will examine different ways available to farmers for raising capital, with a particular focus on the current trend of crowdfunding. We will assess pros and cons, and walk you through the regulatory requirements necessary for raising capital through securities-based crowdfunding. A consultant will spend 45 minutes with you in a small group, with the remainder of the session open for your personal work.

This year you can take advantage of free legal service through a variety of lawyer-to-farmer consultant clinics and workshops. The Pace NRDC Food Law Initiative seeks to address the direct legal service needs of food justice organizations, farmers, and food entrepreneurs by increasing capacity of the legal community to meet those needs through education of law students and training of lawyers. You may be asked to provide the consultant with material in advance to prepare for your meeting.
