In a 2010 article published by Salon Magazine, locavore kingpin Michael Pollan makes the following claim: “Rabbits make more sense than chicken.” This year, the Letterbox farmers, with Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (NESARE) behind them, decided to put this claim to the test. During this session, our livestock manager will tell you what we discovered with a "glass walls" look into our entire operation. We'll start with the basics of how our system works, with an overview of what's involved in starting up a pastured rabbit operation, followed by an in depth look into the economics of best practices for rabbit production.
